Come to the Physics Department for an awesome day of science and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Lunar Landing. We will be giving tours of our labs where cutting edge research is being conducted. These labs range from plasma to biophysics to condensed matter and use some seriously cool gadgets. We will also be giving informal talks on popular science topics such as black holes, fusion, and more! If you want to get your hands dirty there will be physics demos for everyone to try and demonstrations by the MARS Robotics team. To commemorate the Lunar Landing we will be hosting multiple planetarium shows and open our observatory to attendees. This event is family and kid friendly with prizes they can win for participating in demos and liquid nitrogen ice cream! Stop on by to see the cool things happening at Physics Fest!
