Morgantown Community Newcomers Club

Formed 1976

The idea for the Morgantown Community Newcomers Club originated with realtor and community stalwart Pat Stewart in 1976.

The purpose of the Newcomers Club is to provide an opportunity for new residents to gather socially, to develop friendships, and to assimilate into their new home community. Additionally, current members are eager to assist newcomers in their transition to the beautiful Morgantown area. Longtime Morgantown residents are also invited to join Newcomers.

The club’s logo is a pineapple, the traditional symbol of hospitality.

The purpose of this organization shall be to develop friendship and social spirit with new residents and to aid in their assimilation into the citizenship of their new community in the Morgantown, West Virginia area.
