Newcomers Club Board Positions Open for 2024-2025
The Board meets 5 times during the year, typically following a Coffee. Volunteers are needed! Please call Denise B. at 304 685-1291 and consider donating some of your time to keep our Club active! Our Board is a wonderful group of people that keep ideas flowing and work together to bring our members many opportunities to socialize and keep active in our community.
We are in need of a Treasurer and Assistant Treasurer, to begin on July 1, 2024. Our present Treasurers will help the new members transition to their new positions. We are also looking for a Secretary that will take minutes at our Board Meetings.

Monthly COFFEES and Luncheons will continue! We have our wonderful Coffee hosts lined up and great places for our Luncheons. Also, you might win a FREE lunch in our monthly raffle! Interest Groups
There are so many ways to follow your interests and as a member, you can join a group any time! We have some groups that may be right for you, or if you would like to form a new one, please contact our Interest Group Director.
At this time, we offer the following activities to get involved with, so pick one, pick two, or pick them ALL! Please go to the website, join a Group (which allows you to get emails from the Leader) and click on Calendar, and RSVP for the events you would like to attend.
Walking Group
Meet for a nice morning walk on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 9:00 am at trails in the Morgantown area. NOTICE: Be on the look out for some special walks on Mondays and Fridays, to areas outside Morgantown which may include Lunch (ex Ohiopyle, Coopers Rock, Friendship Hill).
Adventures in Dining
The group meets the 2nd Friday, 11:30 am at local restaurants for Lunch. Guests are welcome.
Book Group
The group meets the 2nd Wednesday, 10:30 am at local cafes or member homes. Book titles are chosen by the members. The next meeting dates are March 13, April 10 and May 15
Bridge
Bunco
Fun and easy dice game with a bit of betting ($5) and treats. The group usually meets the last Tuesday at 1:00pm and scheduled Evening Bunco nights. No need to know how to play! Next Evening Bunco dates are March 11. April 8 and May 7 and Daytime Bunco will be held March 26, April 30 and May 28.
Chicks at the Flicks
See movies the 1st Tuesday with the group. Join us on March 5, April 2, and May 7.
Road Trippers
Enjoy special trips, car pooling to area locations as determined.
Wine Tasting
This popular group meets the 3rd or 4th Saturday evening with local Kroger wine specialist, Ron Porter, for an evening of tasting and good food. Bring a spouse or guest.
Mark your calendars for March 23 and April 20.
Music Meet Ups
Local bands, concerts, etc are posted and members can meet up together.
