I was raised in the Chicago area where I met my husband Terry. We attended Valparaiso University where I received my degree in Nursing. After getting married Terry and I moved to Eugene, OR where he attended law school. We loved the Northwest but returned to the Midwest to be nearer to family after his graduation. Terry’s career moved us and our three sons, Jonathan, David and Ethan, to Minneapolis, MN, Pittsburgh, PA and eventually Morgantown. I worked at the bedside in the ICU while I was raising my family and later moved into nursing education. When we first moved to Morgantown I worked at Mon General, but moved to The Center for Education and Organizational Development at WVU Medicine. I was the Transition Coordinator, managing a development program for first year nurses when I took an early retirement in 2013.

In retirement I enjoy volunteering, travel and time with family. My primary volunteer activity is as president of the board for directors for Compass Women’s Center, a pregnancy help center here in Morgantown.
