Walking

Walkers- We will walk from 9:00- 10:00 a.m. starting in the trail parking lot located on the Lower Deckers Creek Trail near the junction of the Mon River Trail and the amphitheater.  NOTE!! THIS IS A NEW START POINT for us. No actual address exists on Google or Apple Maps. Here are directions to the parking area: If you are coming from Don Knotts Boulevard, you will turn onto Foundry Street located beside the Sheets Gas station. Once you are on Foundry Street, take the first right onto a small paved road. This is BEFORE the Dering-Henson Funeral Home!! When you are on the small road, take the left fork. You will see a post with a green sign indicating the trail parking ahead. Meet in the parking lot. Questions? When you RSVP, on the morning of the walk I will send a link to google or Apple Maps with a drop pin. Call if you have questions.

On the walk we will pass by Stanley’s Spot Dog Park and will check out the new mural featuring dogs!

Please RSVP no later than 7:15 a.m. on the website the morning of the walk. You will receive a text between 7:30-7:45 a.m. with confirmation of the walk and any changes to our schedule such as possible updated info in case of inclement weather, traffic, etc.

*If we have poor walking conditions persist that morning, we may choose to walk indoors at the Mountaineer Mall on Greenbag Road.
